Disaster Management Cell
The Disaster Management Cell plans, coordinates and monitors municipal preparedness and response for floods,
storms, fire incidents and other emergencies, ensuring quick support to affected citizens and protection of critical civic infrastructure.
Role of Disaster Management Cell
The cell prepares basic contingency plans, maintains emergency contact networks, and works with other
departments, district authorities and local volunteers to respond to disasters within the municipal area.
It focuses on early warning, evacuation support, temporary relief arrangements and quick restoration of essential services.

Schools / community halls identified for temporary shelter.
Relief Materials
Stock of tarpaulins, water containers, dry rations and basic supplies.
